What is real is right in front of us. Question everything else.
If I am inspired by anything lately it is a return to baseline with my creative experiments. I am embracing my curiosity for what is real and right in front of me. Empirical experiences where I am the observer. I wish to develop sculptural experiments based on elements — I’ve been working on these ideas for years but haven’t had a vision for the project as a whole. I keep hoping for an opportunity that would give me time and space to focus on creativity again. Alas, I don’t see this reality manifesting unless I cross paths with a generous grant or patron.
Question everything.
Have you tried to look up any facts lately? For every answer there is an opposite answer. It’s very confusing.
If you don’t stay open you become closed.
Close-minded, unwavering, decisive. Nothing wrong with making decisions, every day is a choose-your-own-adventure. (Favorite childhood books) Just be open and curious. If our society wants us to all be vanilla, how can you add a little pistachio?
Individuality.
It is so scary. Isn’t it? No. Honestly, I got bored of making jewelry because what is popular (for what seems like eternity now) is cheap gold-plated ephemeral jewelry. I’m so tired of it. But that’s what “the people” want. Go out on a limb this week, wear your most artsy looking piece of jewelry.
